TSA is expecting heavy travel volumes for Juneteenth and Father's Day weekend.

Read our Travel Tips to ensure smooth weekend travel through SFO.

  • Allow extra time for check in and security. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the Airport at least 2 hours prior to departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to departure for international flights. View the Security Checkpoint Wait Times tracker.
  • Take advantage of alternate drop-off spots. Avoid congestion by dropping off passengers at Kiss & Fly with access to AirTrain making stops to all terminals.
  • Book your parking spot in advance. Parking garages are expected to be busy this weekend. Secure your parking spot for added convenience.
  • Pack your bags using the TSA Travel Checklist. Avoid packing prohibited items to speed up the check-in process. To check whether or not an item can be brought with you to the airport, use TSA’s What Can I Bring? list.
  • Refer to your airline's mobile app for flight details. Visit the Airlines at SFO page for additional contact info.
  • Accessible passenger services are available. View the Accessibility section for a list of all accessible services and amenities in the terminals.
  • Want to drop off friends and family at their gate? Apply for a SFO Gate Explorer pass.
